Bama Dreaming offers performances including acknowledgment of country and dancing using a fusion of traditional and modern music techniques. In addition, Bama Dreaming offers a range of workshops designed to share culture with schools, government, non- government organisations and corporate businesses. Our workshops cover topics such as Aboriginal art and traditional dancing, offering an insight to the joy and connection that lives on through the oldest culture on earth.
Our workshops are designed to be interactive and engaging. We use a variety of teaching methods and offer a hands-on experience.
The Yidinji tribe is comprised of 8 clans, whose traditional lands included Cairns, south to the Russell River and west to parts of the Atherton tablelands. Today, these clans are represented by a range of groups and corporations who manage native title and relevant cultural matters.
